This vertical sundial is mounted on the wall of St. Andrews in the Grange Church of Scotland.

The church was built in 1897 to cater for Scottish Troops garrisoned on the island.
The sundial is a metre square and has various carvings. At the top are sun's rays whilst the bottom has a carving of face with wings probably representing the wind.
There is also the phrase Watch and Pray, Time Flies Away.
