The plaque says ,"The Grange is believed to be the only home that Alexander Hamilton (1755-1804) ever owned. By the time he bought the land and built the Grange, he had already fought in the American Revolution, helped draft the Constitution and get it ratified, and served as the Secretary of the Treasury."
