This 1941 Ford C11ADF Station Wagon, built by the Ford Motor Company of Canada, was the personal staff car of Field Marshal Sir Harold Alexander in North-Africa and Italy. It is on permanent display inside the Canadian War Museum, in Ottawa.

Sir Harold Alexander's Staff Car
This vehicle was the personal staff car of Field Marshal Sir Harold Alexander in North-Africa and Italy.
Canadian formations in Italy fought under Alexander's command. His command car, manufactured by Ford of Canada, travelled over 290,000 kilometres and underwent field modifications and three engine changes durints its career.
After the war, Alexander –– by this time Lord Alexander of Tunis and Errigal in recognition of his wartime accomplishments –– served as Governor General of Canada from 1946 to 1952.
