This is not exactly where one would look for a rose garden but there it is! Behind the former wagonworks building which has been converted to a military museum is a brand new tiny rose garden dedicated to the women who stepped out of their roles as homemakers and into the jobs of the men who had left to defend our country in World War II. Rosie the Riveter became the symbol for these women. Two of the women who were real life Rosies joined the ceremony to dedicate this garden to all the women who helped keep the factories running till the war was over.
