I've been trying to determine if this pump house and water tower were a WPA (Works Progress Administration) project based on the date of construction, which would have fallen into the time period of the New Deal projects. A historic walking tour brochure provides some background on the site where these structures reside. It states that the land was formerly used as a "skating rink and later the site of the annual “Pumpkin” Show, an exhibition fair for farm produce, flowers, etc." The pump house is still in operation and pictures of the interior show the vintage equipment.
Year of construction: 1938
