This country church is white with a blue corrugated roof and is well maintained. Simple in design it features a bell tower and churchyard wooden cross.
The bell tower seems to be from the original church as the church has under gone four transitions, with modifications, updates and an addition. Open all around with low arched openings on each side, the bell tower is of traditional design from the 1960s. It is atop the roof near the entrance to the church. Its spire, though not terribly impressive, is a relatively tall pyramid with the obligatory cross at its peak. Though the structure of the tower and spire is wood, the entirety is sheathed in metal, likely aluminum.
Near the church are forested areas and farmlands, the saw mill and post office are across the road. Laclede had a slight decrease in population since our visit in 2014. Its current population is 177 residents a decrease from 235.
