Huge, well-detailed mural presenting snippets of life in and around Richmond. Completed in 2016 by local artist and Richmond Legion member Becky Marr-Johnson, the mural took hundreds of hours to finish.
It is located on the side of RCL Branch #625, located on Ottawa Street West in Richmond.
The left half of the mural depicts various scenes of life in and around Richmond. These range from agricultural, to the Richmond Fair, Canada Geese and a scene from McBean street. The right half depicts Richmond's military heritage and sacrifices. There are scenes of D-Day, Flanders Fields, Peacekeeping, and others.
This is called "We Stand on Guard (Canadians in Service)".
The mural is available for viewing daily, although events may block some of the mural.
