The Globe/Miami area is home to a number of large copper mines. The visitor center provides information on sites to visit and the history of the area. The facility is housed in a building that is a copy of the Dominion Library. The library was sponsored by the Dominion Mine, one of the largest in the area. It features an arched portico with an overhung roof to shade the building from the sun. Inside the visitor is greeted and presented with brochures featuring the business and sites of the community. The visitor center is located at 1360 North Broad Street, Globe AZ 85501
