The Marlow Post Office is a one-story building of light colored brick, with a flat roof, built in 1940. The building was built with funding from the Treasury Department. Above the three central window units on the facade are friezes with cast medallions. Each of the pieces shows a form of transportation - steamship, airplane and train.

The interesting thing about the frieze art is that each vehicle is created from a frontal view, coming right at you, rather than what you might expect - a side view. We assume the pictures refer to the various ways that the mail is carried.
