This old fountain is called 'Oberer Marktbrunnen'. It's located at the 'Marktplatz' in Weil der Stadt, Germany, Baden-Württemberg.

The fountain has been created in 1537. The eight-sided fountain consists of sand stone. It can be found directly in front of the town hall.

In the center of the fountain stands a life-sized statue of a medieval shield bearer.
