The Union City High School building was constructed in 1937 under the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works program. It is located on N. Kate Boevers, between Division and 2nd Streets.
This is a block long one-story building with a flat roof. It is constructed of tan brick with the use of orange brick to highlight and add Art Deco features. The windows are one-over-one set in singles, with double rows of orange header bricks forming continuous headers and sills. These continuous belt courses run along all sides of the building, even where there are no windows. An extension has been added at the back of the building, with a higher metal-sided roof.
The front entrance is recessed with two metal/glass doors, flanked by tan and orange designed pilasters. Above the entrance, blocks of tan bricks are set in varying designs, surrounded with the darker colored brick. A concrete panel here reads: "UNION CITY SCHOOLS / DISTRICT NO. 57".
