Oakview Cemetery is located on E660 Road, 4 miles east of Highway 81, and southeast of Hennessey. This is a small cemetery on a dirt road, in the shadow of several windmill generators.
There are twenty burials here, mostly in the 1890's and very early 1900's. The cemetery is grown tall with weeds and only a few headstones are peeking out. Coincidentally, the earliest burial here is one that is visible from the road. "Bethie" Tallman passed away on June 16, 1891, just two years after the Land Run which opened up this area for settlement. There was a burial in 1921, and the latest here is Maggie Smith who passed away November 27, 1948, 70 years ago.
