Miami is a copper mining town founded in 1907. It found immediate success as the mines were very productive. In 1920 the Miami Community Church was constructed on Live Oak Street, now US Hwy 60. The building was placed on the NRHP list in 2005. It is now home to the Divine Grace Presbyterian Church. There is a bell mounted between two parapets on the side of the building. From the cobwebs, the bell sees little use.
