This is a beautifully painted colourful large mural on the street-facing wall of the Alternate Learning Center. It was commissioned by Groundswell Community Mural Project.
The Lead Artist was Joe Matunis. He was assisted by Crystal Clarity and a number of youth artists.
The mural depicts black youth and young adults making inspiring choices including in arts, athletics, science, and community building. The bright blue background gives way to dark greens and golds to bring life to the painting.
