The former Bank of Australasia was opened on 5th July 1851 is a two storey bank and residence built of half coursed, rock faced basalt with bracketed eaves, slate roof, emphasised quoinwork and pronounced Georgian motif fenestration in a fusion of Italianate and Georgian architecture.
