FR La chapelle St Symphorien, édifice du plus pur style roman provencal du XII° s. à son apogée.

Elle est située à l'ouest du village, prés du jardin archéologique. L'intérieur d'une extrême sobriété est caractérisé par un chœur en cul de four, comprenant 6 colonnettes à fûts lisses couronnées d'élégants chapiteaux.

Première église de Caumont, elle a perdu sa fonction d'église paroissiale au XIV° s. du fait que son implantation excentrée rendait dangereuse sa fréquentation en raison de l'insécurité ambiante de l'époque.

It is located west of the village, near the archaeological garden. The interior of an extreme sobriety is characterized by a choir in ass of furnace, including 6 balusters with smooth barrels crowned with elegant capitals.

First church of Caumont, it lost its function of parish church in the 14th century. because its remote location made it dangerous to use because of the prevailing insecurity of the time.
