Up near the toilet block above the Buccarumbi Riverside Camping Reserve is an Interpretative Sign, giving the history of the previous [Truss] bridge over the Nymboida River. It also give the following information for those want to canoe the River.

The Clarence Canoe & Kayak Trail

"The Clarence River and its tributaries are one of Australia's last major wild river systems, providing a contrast between rainforest-clad gorge, eucalypt forests and broad plains.

"Fed by summer rains, the Clarence Canoe & Kayak Trail is a 195 km whitewater adventure that can be undertaken as one journey or a series of shorter trips to keep you coming back for more. Whether you start at 'The Junction' of the Nymboida and Little Nymboida Rivers in Nymboi-Binderay National Park or from one of the many access points along the way, you are on a journey of discovery on one of Australia's great rivers.

"Conclude your whitewater adventure at the township of Copmanhurst on the Clarence River or continue your adventure downriver on the more placid sections all the way to Yamba. Over 400 km from source to sea, the Clarence is truly a river of adventure!

"Paddle safe - wear a buoyancy vest and a helmet, enjoy your adventure, and help protect this river system for future generations!"

Buccarumbi to Jackadgery

"Distance - 44.5 km. This section contains predominately grade 2 - 3 rapids. However, there is at least one grade 4 rapid near the confluence of Cunglebung Creek which can be easily portaged on river left. Caution is also required when approaching 'Exhibition Falls', 'New Zealand Falls' and the boulder strewn 'Bridal Veil' rapid - all grade 3 rapids. Overnight camping is available at Nymboida River National Park."
