Here, on West 19th Street centered on Rutland, you’ll find four or so blocks of art galleries, antique stores, vintage stores, and specialty shops, including Brooke & Linden Texas Emporium, Earth Gallery, Retropolis and Chippendale and Eastlake Antiques. It makes for pleasant strolling, but there’s only one place to eat (most likely due to the fact that it’s one of the few ‘dry’ areas in Houston).
