Pub sign outside The Feathers on Town Green, Wymondham.
The sign has a plume of 3 feathers bound by a crown, and the motto
Ich Dien ('I Serve') below.
The Feathers pub name is usually attributed to the elder brother of Henry VIII, the Prince of Wales.
"An excellent example of a cosy market town local. Records of the Feathers existing date back to the 18th century although much of the present building dates to the early 19th century. The interior of the pub has cosy alcoves and on the walls are mounted entertaining memorabilia, some old farm implements and early photographs. Beer range includes three guests plus a house beer, Feathers Tickler, brewed by Elgood's. A friendly customer base covering a wide age range. No television but has retained the dart board. Excellent beer garden, probably the best in Wymondham."
