The Mall of Georgia is a 2.2 million square foot,(204,000 m²), three story shopping mall in Buford, Georgia, northeast of Atlanta. It is owned by Simon Properties, and is the second largest mall in the Southeast. It has over 200 stores and its anchors are Dillard's, JC Penney, Belk (formerly Lord and Taylor), Nordstrom, and Macy's (formerly Rich's). The statue atop the mall is of Button Gwinnett, for whom its location of Gwinnett County is named. It is also part of Mill Creek, Georgia, a master-planned, 500 acre (2 km²) community that combines residential and commercial facilities with an 87 acre (350,000 m²) nature park. Mill Creek is not a city or town, just a community within Buford.
