Kellie Law, at 184 metres, is an old volcanic plug rising above the farmland of the East Neuk of Fife close to the small villages of Arncroach and Carnbee. It commands good views to the nearby coast and surrounding rural land and houses one of the older pillars constructed by the Ordnance Survey. The pillar does not quite sit on the summit, a mound a few yards to the south-east is a couple of metres taller, and no longer houses a cairn. Other paraphernalia on the summit includes a small wind turbine. The pillar is still in good condition and in use as an active station.
STEEPNESS: Steeper to the west and south, but less so to the east where it is easiest reached.
TERRAIN: All grassy pastureland with little difficulty.
ACCESSIBILITY: From Carnbee around a mile to the east where a track heads west. Every other direction is trackless and steeper.
NAVIGATION: The track ends at a gate, and from here it is directly westwards up the hill on a faint path with another gate to cross on the way up. The last part is pathless but without difficulty until the summit area comes into view.
DANGER: Look out for cattle on the lower part.
