EN: This sundial is located on the wall of a residential building on the Allmendstrasse in Seewen. It is about one and a half meters wide and has a sun with a laughing face around the gnomon. The two scales (MEZ Central European Time and WOZ True Local Time) as well as the year of origin 1994 are indicated above the gnomon. On the sides are the coordinates, where north and east are given as phi and lambda: N 47° 25' 58" E 7° 39' 36". At the corner of the house wall at eye level there is a correction table for the seasonal deviations.
DE: Diese Sonnenuhr befindet sich an der Wand eines Wohnhauses an der Allmendstrasse in Seewen. Sie ist rund eineinhalb Meter breit und hat eine Sonne mit einem lachenden Gesicht um den Zeiger. Über dem Zeiger sind die beiden Skalen (MEZ Mitteleuropäische Zeit und WOZ Wahre Ortszeit) sowie das Entstehungsjahr 1994 angegeben. Auf den Seiten befinden sich die Koordinaten, wobei Nord und Ost als phi und lambda angegeben sind: N 47° 25' 58" E 7° 39' 36". An der Ecke der Hauswand befindet sich auf Augenhöhe noch eine Korrekturtabelle für die jahreszeitlichen Abweichungen.
