The tap of the healing water spring is located in the "Kongresspark" in the centre of Bad Honnef.
From 1936 to 1938 a mineral spring (the Grafenwerth spring) was drilled near the northern bridge on the island of Grafenwerth. At a depth of 538 metres, a rich spring with a flow rate of 550 l/min was encountered.
The well built in Kongresspark is fed with the healing water of this spring. It has a temperature of over 20°C and has a high content of sodium, calcium, magnesium, hydrogen carbonate and chloride. Drinking cures have been shown to promote gastrointestinal, liver bile, kidney bladder and prostate activity.
In addition to these well-known advantages, it is above all the high carbonic acid content which has a health-promoting effect after drinking and bathing cures in the case of cardiovascular complaints and diseases of the joints and spine.
