The very first public clock in France was at the top of the bell-tower at the "Château de Vincennes".
This clock was installed in the year 1369 - one year earlier than the clock at the Palais de la Cite in Paris.
You will see the original bell of that clock here in the Sainte-Cappelle. At the bell-tower is a copy of that old bell.
Next to this bell you will find an information board with details about the bell - in French, Englisch and Spanish.
