"Comptoir des Calcaires et Materiaux” operates the quarry of Wallers located south of the village of Avesnois, about 700 meters from the Belgian border. This is an important limestone deposit which is in a quadrilateral limited to the south by State Road 951 (Trélon-Macon), to the west by the town road 5 (Waller-Trélon from RN51) and to the east by the Mâcon-Baives road.
In the north, the deposit extends to the small road between Wallers-Trélon to Baives and which is also the limit of the Givetian outcrop.
The quarry is not accesssable, and there is no a visitor center but the activities can be viewed at the given coordinates.
At that point there is also an information display about the quarry and the environment.
