Obelisk War Memorial - Aldinga, SA, Australia - Non-Specific Veteran Memorials on Waymarking.com

This is a grey granite obelisk, on sawn granite prisms, with a rough-hewn granite base, set on two concrete steps. It details the locals who not only served, but died in World War One, and in World War Two. It is 'within a stones throw' of St Ann's Anglican Church. One of the lower faces has the following, for the First World War:

Another side details the local soldier who died in World War Two, Private J. C. Hardy (NX149144), who fought in C Company, 2/1 Infantry Battalion, in New Guinea. [ex-Australian War Memorial Personnel of C Company, Karawop and Wewak Area, New Guinea ] It reads:
