There always seems to be at least a couple people fishing in the large pond within the Fifty Point Conservation Area. Not sure what they are fishing for. We tried our luck with worms, hooks and floats but didn't catch anything. We did see sunfish, pumpkinseed and bullhead and someone on the other side of the pond caught a small bass while we were there.
According to the HCA main website (

Until recently the pond was stocked annually with trout and a fishing derby was held each year to raise funds for a local charity. Both of those activities were recently halted (2018), but public pressure may lead to a reinstatement in subsequent years.
