Füssen is the final stop on the "King Ludwig Railway". It is named such because of the two castles built by the King near Füssen, Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein, which now draw hundreds of thousands of visitors per year.
Approximately 20 trains per day travel to the town from Munich, Augsburg, and Buchloe. More frequent journeys in the summer months when tourism is at its highest.
The station is a simple platform with automated ticket booths. The buses congregate here too.
