Letchen A. Hill - Boley, OK - Out of Place Graves on Waymarking.com

Boley High School at 124 N. Oak Street closed in 2008 due to lack of enrollment in this small town. In front of the school, at the northwest corner of the property, is the grave of Letchen A. Hill (May 2, 1902 - July 31, 1941).

In researching to find out who Letchen Hill was and how he would come to be buried on school property, we learned that he was a former Teacher, Athletic Coach, Principal and Superintendent of Schools for Boley, and a well respected educator in Oklahoma.
