Charles Eugène de Foucauld de Pontbriand, vicomte de Foucauld, né le 15 septembre 1858 à Strasbourg (France) et mort le 1er décembre 1916 dans le Sahara algérien, est un officier de l'armée française devenu explorateur et géographe, puis religieux catholique, ermite et linguiste. Il a été béatifié le 13 novembre 2005 par le pape Benoît XVI. Il est commémoré le 1er décembre.
