In the centre of Rhöndorf the spring of the Drachenfelsquelle came to the surface in 1844.
Originally, the site had a well pond before the modern stone spring "Ziepchen" was built. It is fed by the Drachenfelsquelle.

The Ziepchen used to be the most important water tap in Rhöndorf and also served as a fire water pond.

The water is drinkable and is often used by local residents for tea or coffee water. Hikers often quench their thirst here.
Behind the spring is a pool with carp, which is also fed with water from the spring.
