Motivated by the children in their congregation, Kanata United Church dedicated this four-sided outdoor peace pole on 21 September 2014, the International Day of Peace. At that time, the young people also created a five-sided indoor peace pole which included the peace message in English, French, Chinese and Algonquin. The fifth side of that peace pole displayed the musical notes to John Lennon's Imagine.
