EN: This house in the Rebgasse in Basel is listed as a house to the Old Trotte (wine-press) in the list of protected buildings, but also called a former rectory in several other official documents. Many details can not be found. A probable possibility is that the building was a winery in the Middle Ages and became a vicarage around 1765, as which it apparently served until 1911.

Much more can be found about the story of two ghosts haunting this house. One is said to be the ghost of a housekeeper who had embezzled the pastor's money. The other ghost was the late wife of the pastor, who stalked him for his unfaithfulness after her death. Although the two ghosts were banned in the 1850s by the well-known ghost hunter Johann Jakob von Brunn, there are still rumors known from the 1890s. Today, the ghosts seem to spread no more horrors. In any case, a kindergarten is in the house today.

Wesentlich mehr zu finden ist über die Geschichte zweier Gespenster, die in diesem Haus spukten. Das eine soll der Geist einer Haushälterin sein, die Geld des Pfarrers unterschlagen hatte. Das andere Gespenst die verstorbene Ehefrau des Pfarrers, die ihn für seine Untreue nach ihren Tod heimsuchte. Obwohl die beiden Geister in den 1850er Jahren von dem bekannten Geisterjäger Johann Jakob von Brunn gebannt wurden, sind noch Spukerlebnisse aus den 1890ern bekannt. Heute scheinen die Geister keine Schrecken mehr zu verbreiten. Jedenfalls ist in dem Haus ein Kindergarten untergebracht.
