This bridge was constructed by members of the Canadian 2nd Field Engineer Regiment in the spring of 1999 as part of the "Bridges for Canada" project, a three year co-operative effort between the Trans Canada Trail foundation and the Canadian Military Forces.
This bailey bridge is used as a pedestrian/bicycle crossing of the credit river on the Bruce Trail.
This Bailey bridge was re-decked in June 2016 by 32 Combat Engineer Regiment (Formerly 2 Field Engineer Regiment)Toronto, 17 years from the date of installation.
