The Tenth Legion monument is located in the northeast corner of Thrall Park. A 3' high rectangular granite base contains an incised shield inscribed with X. Below a bronze plaque is inscribed:

THE MEMBERS OF THE TENTH LEGION
NEW YORK VETERAN VOLUNTEERS
WAR 1861-1865
COMPOSED OF THE 56TH REGIMENT OF INFANTRY,
7TH AND 8TH INDEPENDENT BATTERY
AND COMPANIES C & D OF THE
1ST REGIMENT N.Y. MOUNTED RIFLES
RECRUITED IN ORANGE, SULLIVAN
AND ULSTER COUNTIES.
