The Moore County Courthouse is the focal point of the downtown Lynchburg area. It is a two-story building with a clock at the top, and several monuments/markers around the grounds. The courthouse was built in 1885 and is still used for the same purpose today. It was listed on the NRHP in 1979.

According to the Lynchburg Chamber of Commerce, the courthouse is closed on Thursdays.
