visit link) errichtet wurde, entstand die Idee, auf der Plattform eines Aufzugschachtes einen Glockenturm mit 24 Glocken zu installieren. Mit Hilfe von Spenden der am Bau des Hauses beteiligten Firmen konnte der Glockenguss in der Eifeler Glockengießerei Mark finanziert werden. Seither sind dreimal am Tag Glockenspiele in verschiedenen Melodien zu hören. Die Lieder spielen zu festen Uhrzeiten und geben die Stimmung der Tages- bzw. Jahreszeit wieder.
Die Seniorinnen und Senioren haben das Glockenspiel lieb gewonnen; so ist es zu einem festen Bestandteil ihres Alltags geworden. Es bereitet ihnen nicht nur Freude, sondern bietet ihnen auch die Möglichkeit, sich innerhalb des Tages zu orientieren. So wissen sie mit Hilfe des Glockenspiels ganz genau, wann der Morgen begonnen hat, wann Mittagsessenszeit ist oder wann der Abend anbricht. Oft halten sie während des Spiels inne und genießen die Musik, die auch Erinnerungen in ihnen weckt. Die Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner fühlen sich durch den spirituellen Moment beschützt und nicht alleine.
Wenn gegen 8 :00Uhr das Glockenspiel zur Frühstückszeit erklingt, verbreitet es mit insgesamt vier Liedern eine schöne Morgenstimmung. Mittags um 11.45 Uhr läutet es zum Mittagsessen und um 18:00 Uhr verkündet es den Abend. Eine Bewohnerin gab an, dass sie ohne das Glockenspiel schon manches Mal das Mittagessen verpasst hätte. Es spielt Volkslieder oder religiöse Lieder, die den Seniorinnen und Senioren gut bekannt sind, wie zum Beispiel „Am Brunnen vor dem Tore“, „Ännchen von Tharau“ oder „Maria, breit den Mantel aus“ usw. . Das Glockenspiel kann auch manuell, wie auf einem Klavier, gespielt werden. So lässt sich zu besonderen Anlässen, wie zum Beispiel zum 25-jährigen Jubiläum des Seniorenhauses, ein kleines Glockenspielkonzert durch einen ehrenamtlichen Mitarbeiter des Seniorenhauses durchführen. Der Glockenturm mit Glockenspiel ist zum Wahrzeichen des Hauses geworden. Stets wirken die Melodien der Glocken etwas nach und erbauen Geist und Seele."
