The church's unofficial Facebook page contains little information on its history other than a photo of the church's centennial poster of 1959 commemorating the building of St. Rose church (the original church next door) by Father VanLin in 1883. There is a centennial plaque on a boulder in front of the original church commemorating its centennial in 1983.
