Lost City Cemetery is located on N. Lost City Road, approximately 2.5 miles north of Hulbert. This is a square area, which is flat and has only two large trees. The cemetery contains 329 burials at this time, and the earliest we found dates to 1895. The cemetery is well maintained.
Legend says that the town got its name from a group of people who had a small settlement on the creek, and one day, they just disappeared, leaving everything behind. The area soon became known as the Lost City. The town has the distinction of being the location where a 22-lb. meteorite landed on January 3, 1970.
