JUNCTION CITY - The funeral will be held Jan. 11 for Joseph Leonard Ludiker of Junction City, who died Jan. 8 of age-related causes. He was 83.
Ludiker was born May 12, 1919, in Imnaha to Joseph and Verena Wheelock Ludiker. He married Nellie Bechdoldt in Coburg on May 11, 1941.
He was a lifelong resident of Oregon, and he lived in Coburg, Unity and Eugene before settling in Junction City.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He worked in the construction business, as a rancher and as a warehouseman for Lane Electric Co-op.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the U.S. Veterans of Foreign Wars, Franklin Christian Church, Paws & Taws Square Dance Club and the Fern Ridge Twirlers.
Survivors include a daughter, Lillie Ludiker of Junction City; a son, Leonard of Junction City; a brother, Monty Fisher-Ludiker of Bend; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Saturday's service will be held at 10 a.m. at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene. Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or to a charity of choice.
