This bronze bust on a brown granite plinth is located outside of the Paducah Railway Museum, Northwest corner, at 200 Washington Street. The bust and plinth is approximately 6 foot tall, with the bust being approximately 30 inches tall. The words CHARLES H. MARKHAM apprear on the plinth under the bust. Charles H. Markham was president of the Illinois Central from 1910-1918;1919-1930. There is a plaque towards the bottom of the plinth that reads:
Erected by employees
of the Kentucky Division of
Illinois Central Railroad
and Citizens of Paducah
as a token of esteem.
