A topography map gave me a clue that a drive-in theater was once located at this site (see animated GIF above). The website "cinematreasures.org" contains a picture of the former drive-in theater newspaper advertisement. The website reads: Single screen drive-in on Highway 99 just south of what is now the Belt-Line overpass. The North End Drive-In was opened around 1950 when it was operated by A.B. Olsen. Demolished in late-1960’s or early-1970’s. It was equipped with Simplex E-7 projectors.
The site is now home to Lakewood Park, a mobile home complex. My posted pictures were taken along Dove Lane looking south towards what would have been the front entrance to the drive-in. Nothing remains of this drive-in today.
Current condition: Something standing in it's place (no remains)
