The memorial consists of a stone celtic
cross atop a rectangular column. The stone column is mounted on a plinth with
inscriptions on all four sides. The plinth sits on a two step base, the whole
sitting on a two stage slate platform.
The front of the plinth carries the inscription

WHO LAID DOWN THEIR
LIVES
IN THE GREAT WARS
AND IN GRATITUDE

The other three sides contain the names of the fallen.
The maker of the memorial was Mr Thomas Bolton. The memorial
was unveiled on 10th October 1920. The unveiling was attended by Brigadier General
B N North.
