"Le bâtiment a été réalisé par l'architecte Jean-Marie Lacrampe en 1894. Il a été restauré en 1937, date marquée sur la façade. Le dégrilleur est en amont le long du quai Saint-Jean. Cette centrale a été réalisée pour alimenter en électricité les Sanctuaires. Elle a une puissance de 400 kW."
