"Fountain. Dated 1887. Squared and coursed marlstone, stone slate capping. Arched recess under coped gable, the fountain recess taken back square from responds, with small radius quadrant comers to flat back; slightly pointed arch springs from heavy 2-stage corbels. Small water spout discharges over plain Pennant stone slab.
Commemorative tablet in a Shelly 'marble' reads:
'APRIL 26 1887. TO THE DEAR AND HONOURED MEMORY OF GEORGE PHIPPS PREVOST' followed by 5-line doggerel - As birds do drink / and straight lift up their head / so must man sit and think / of better drink / he may attain to after he is dead (These lines are from a George Herbert poem called 'Mans Medlay')

Prevost was 'perpetual curate' in the parish."
