Roma Bakery might be the most famous independent Bakery in East Hamilton and Stoney Creek, and possibly beyond that. More than anything, they are known for their unique slab pizzas, which is most commonly sold (in the bakery as well as in numerous supermarkets around Hamilton) with nothing more than their own sauce. Might sound too simple, but it is surprising delicious cold or warm. They even receive requests to send the pizza by express courier (see website for testimonials).
Beyond the pizza, Roma prepares and sells a wide variety of bakery goods and more.
