This Pullman coach stands on a section of track behind the old MKT depot north of Wagoner on Highway 69. The coach is painted MKT, but The Oklahoma List of railroad vehicles indicates it is Pullman coach X3436. The depot was moved to this location in 1988 and operated as a restaurant for many years. A building extension was built from the depot to the coach, and it is assumed that restaurant dining was also located in the railroad car.
The coach is located next to an MKT caboose. Both are unrestored and vacant at this time. Plans are underway to eventually move the depot back to the downtown area and restore it, and we expect this coach may be moved and restored at that same time. A GoFundMe account has been established to solicit funds to aid in this endeavor.
