The Mariner's Park Museum was created in 1967 as a Canadian Centennial project. Its archival records, items from local shipwrecks and many other items stand as a testament to the rich sailing history of this region of Prince Edward County.
The museum is located on County Road 13 in South Bay, about 15 miles east of Picton. It is open Victoria Day Weekend through September
Wednesday through Sunday, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Admission is by donation. The museum welcomes school groups and other organized tours.
the museum features items from over 50 shipwrecks, War of 1812, United Empire Loyalists, commercial and sport sailing and other related items. The grounds features a relocated lighthouse, War of 1812 replica blockhouse, rescue boats, buoys and many memorials.
