I found no information on John F. James.

This typical Woodmen marker on cut logs is located in the Fairview Cemetery. The front lily is rather large and more ornate than usual. there are two carved flowers that extend into the trunk. Palm fronds and ivy leaves are also carved into the base logs. The description reads:
