So many lakes in cities are restricted from canoe or kayak use but this one is an exception. You have 12 acres of water to get a little paddling exercise and maybe do a little fishing. When this lake was property of Stephens College they had rowing teams here.

"Stephens Lake is a 12 acre lake located at Stephens Lake Park. Non-motorized boats are allowed on the east side of the boardwalk only. This area is owned and maintained by the City of Columbia. For more information or to report problems, please contact the Columbia Parks and Recreation Department at573-874-7463." (visit link)
